About
Born in Akron, Ohio Eric was raised on 60’ music, art and his grandparent’s Koda-chrome slides from the 50’s. At fourteen his older brother brought home the first SLR camera he’d ever seen. Like every budding new artist, he started taking pictures of the family cat and things escalated from there. At seventeen he made his first mockumentary film about a town’s out of control hot dog eating problem called “Frankfest”. His growing interest in being behind the camera took him to Ohio University where he studied commercial photography. Upon graduation his professional start came with artist/photographer/filmmaker Phil Mucci. Their time together sparked Eric’s creative passion for art, filmmaking, writing and video editing. He spent the next 13 years freelancing in New York City working along side some of the top photographers and directors the industry has to offer. Never being stuck into one category, he worked as a lighting and digital technician, retoucher, camera operator, video editor, assistant director and first assistant in both the advertising and corporate worlds. He has also written, produced, directed and edited his own short films that have shown in fifteen festivals and counting across the United States. He has also lent those skills to make films for clients. Eric, his wife (a brilliantly gifted educator), their 11 lb Australian Shepherd Phyllis and 50+ house plants are now located in the Northeast Ohio area.
